 Promotion after infrastructure in Odense
BYPAD Modul: Bicycle promotion and partnerships Odense   (Denmark)
For a long time the city had had a high degree of bicycle use combined with a proper cycle path network. Since 1999 the network has been expanded by 400 m cycle path only.

During a four-year programme Odense was appointed National Cycling City by the ministry, with the purpose of implementing and testing a large number of projects aimed at enlarging bicycle use by way of innovating infrastructural measures and promotional activity. The target was: a 20% increase in bicycle traffic in four years, purely by drawing more attention to bicycle use and by making it more attractive. The programme, which in the end included ca. sixty completed projects, had a budget of ca. € 2.7 million. The municipality and the Ministry of Transport each paid half of it.

In the BYPAD questionnaire for cities this example fits to module 7
