A representative for cyclists in Lausanne
BYPAD Modul: Bicycle leadership and co-ordination Lausanne   (Switzerland)
In order to respond to user demand, to promote unmotorised transport and to put favourable planning measures into place, the municipality created a new position: a representative for two wheeled vehicles (Délégué aux deux-roues) in the traffic department in 2000.

Background & Objectives

The representative works with a support group (“groupe Deux-Roues Légers”) and with the various communal administration departments concerned. The representative also serves as intermediary between citizens and the communal authorities.

In the BYPAD questionnaire for cities this example fits to module 2 question 4
